२०२२ साल साउन २२ गते जन्मिएका दीपबहादुर शाही नेपाली कांग्रेसका एक निष्ठावान्, जुझारु र तल्लो तहदेखि नै राजनीतिमा स्थापित नेता हुन्। हाल जुम्ला निर्वाचन क्षेत्र नम्बर १ बाट प्रतिनिधिसभा सदस्यको उम्मेदवार बनेका शाही "समुन्नत जुम्ला, सुखी जुम्लाबासी" भन्ने मूल नाराका साथ चुनावी मैदानमा छन्। उनी जुम्लाको भौगोलिक विकटता, स्थानीय स्रोत–साधनको परिचालन र जिल्लाका आधारभूत समस्याहरूलाई केन्द्रसम्म पुर्‍याउने दृढ संकल्पका साथ अगाडि बढेका छन्। नेपाली कांग्रेसको आन्तरिक राजनीतिमा गगन थापा नेतृत्वको 'नयाँ लहर' सँग नजिक रहेका शाहीलाई पार्टीको परिवर्तनकारी धारको प्रतिनिधिका रूपमा हेरिएको छ।
